The Turtle Beach X31 headphones are great headphones. They give you wireless freedom and you're free to walk around the room while listening to the sound of the game. The sound itself is pretty good. Not perfect sound but still good. There is a slight static hiss and the wireless gets interrupted occasionally if I have a laptop nearby using the WiFi, but overall it's pretty robust.

The microphone is great. I haven't had anyone complain about volume of my voice, most people comment that I sound crystal clear. Yes, you do have to plug in a cable from your headphones to the controller. So, the microphone aspect isn't actually wireless, but maybe that's something for their next revision.

However, one problem that these headphones do have, is battery life. These eat batteries extraordinarily fast. So keep that in mind, and make sure you have a set of rechargeable AAA batteries. Also, these headphones lack a low battery alarm. This is important because not only will they cut out completely unexpectedly, they'll also emit a loud noise which can easily make you jump out of your chair. It's loud and alarming.

Personally, I also wish that there was a detachable mic on these headphones, but that's not a huge deal. Build quality is fine, and I haven't had a problem yet. Don't pass up on these headphones, they're a great value!
